One of my most popular blog posts has been on the topic Chenille Stitch. Chenille Stitch is a combination of Tubular Herringbone and Netting that gives an open and airy feel to your beadwork.
You can use various bead shapes and colours to add some interest to your Chenille Stitch and I have done just that in my Banded Necklace beading tutorial. I have used 3.4mm drop beads which have added a subtle dimension to the beadwork. I have also combined alternating sections of Tubular Herringbone stitch using size 11 and 8 seed beads. These segments flank each side of the strip of Chenille Stitch. The result is unique necklace design that is elegant but not over-the-top.

Have you ever made a piece of jewelry using Chenille Stitch? Post a picture on my Facebook page or tag me on Instagram (@mariaarthurofficial) or Twitter (@beadclublounge)! I'd love to see your work!
